How to post blank scraps on orkut :

Orkut never allow anyone to post a blank scrap. You have to write something in that scrap box to post a scrap. But we can post blank scraps in anyone’s scrapbook. Here is the trick.

1. Go to someone’s profile and open his scrap book.
2. Now in the scrap box (where you write the scrap), do not write anything.
3. Click the mouse cursor in that scrap box.
4. Hold Alt key (keep holding) and type 0173. Do not keep the numbers pressed. Simply hold Alt key and type the digits 0173.
5. Press submit and you will notice that you have just posted a blank scrap.
6. You can also do this by typing [i] in that scrap box. Simply type [i] and post that scrap. It will also create a blank scrap.

There are various reasons for this: the number of simultaneous connections that IE makes with the server is limited and it also keeps searching for network shares and printers. Here are some registry tweaks to Speed up Internet Explorer and significantly improve your Internet browsing experience.

In the Registry editor, go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/
RemoteComputer/NameSpace/{D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF} and delete the key named Printers. That ought to do the trick.

For opening up to 16 simultaneous connections with the remote server, and hence pushing your speeds up considerably, you need to modify (or create, if they don’t exist) two values in the registry. Go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSettings and check these two DWORD values:

How To Customise Your Start Button

First you need a tool called “Resource Hacker“. This free program allows you to change resources in any .exe file such as “Explorer.exe“, which includes the [Start] button’s Label. You can visit Download.com and search there for “Resource Hacker“.After you download it, follow the guide here:

Step 1:

A – Run “Resource Hacker” and open the file “%windir%\Explorer.exe“.

B – You see a Tree of all Resources in this file, expand the “String Table“

C – Find the “start” and replace it with your own text. then press the [Compile Script] button.

D – Save “Explorer.exe” as “MyStart.exe” DONT save it as Explorer.exe, do “save as..” and give it a new name.

E – Quit “Resource Hacker“.

Password to modify the document:
If it is applied then you have to give the correct password to modify the workbook. Otherwise your workbook is opened but you cannot modify the workbook. It means that your workbook becomes read-only.
To apply a password to MS Excel document, follow the given steps:
1. Open the file
2. Click on Tools menu and select “Options” from the menu.
3. Select the “Security” tab.
4. Enter “Password to Open”
5. Enter “Password to Modify”
6. Click On OK
7. Verify the passwords by re-entering both of them.
8. Save the document and close it
